Introduction

“The seeking of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim.” (At-Tirmidhi, Hadith#74)

TAQWA Islamic Center will serve as one platform where all students are united as one community of American Muslim Leaders. Our Children are Our Future. As parents it is our responsibility, to educate our children and make a substantial investment in our future. We as Muslim Individuals must understand and realize that Education is the most crucial requirement because

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:“One who treads a path in search of knowledge has his path to Paradise made easy by God…”(Riyadh us-Saleheen, 245 )

We are in session for the entire academic year with the exception of the holidays listed on our Calendar.

At the Islamic School, we are striving to create and maintain a place where our students can learn about the beauty of their faith and the richness of the Islamic tradition. In short, the school has 3 primary goals:

  1. To help our students develop strong, positive Islamic identities.
  2. To impart to our students a basic foundation in the fundamental teachings of Islam.   This includes but is not limited to Quran, Seerah, History and analysis of current events from an Islamic perspective.
  3. To create a place where Muslim children can build friendships – sometimes lifelong – with other young Muslims.
